1. Is there some real reason for this need? Do the current planes

not meet flying standards. Geeze, we have 30 year old planes flying passengers all over the world. The current planes, I'm sure, have more safety and redundant systems than any plane in which we may fly. Seems to be a big waste to me.

I can't believe new planes and copters are part of the Presidential job perks. I wonder how Obama feels about this use of funds?
