She did have some "retro" credits for taking a lot of French in High School, but ended up taking many more credits than she needed for graduation simply because she was a Psychology major and needed certain classes, and took some that would help her in grad school too.
What really helped her graduate in "only" four years was a)not changing her major, something her older brother and sister both did, and b) taking a fairly heavy class load of 15-18 credits or more per semester. She just keep pushing herself; ended up with a 3.9 GPA, about which we are very proud!
She'll be in Minneapolis, but that is only an hour and a half further than she was before, while getting her undergrad degree. She's only been home summers since High School, anyway, so we are adjusted to that. I have a little more anxiety about the "big city", but I think she's ready to handle it.

Good luck to your daughter starting school! It's an exciting time to say the least.
