37. As someone noted above
it's noted there was no funeral because the body was donated...but I don't see the connection. There is still a service when bodies are donated or cremated. There could have been one later when she was buried.

There was no funeral, as the Bush's had signed papers giving Robin's body to research hoping that a cure could be found for such a horrible disease.

The picture in that link shows a beautiful little girl. Given name was Pauline Robinson Bush, they called her Robin.

But this link talks some about the family at the time, bush not being told she was dying or learning about her death until two days later.

It also talks about bush becoming a clown to cheer up his mom after the death.

Who knows what's true. But the illness and/or death of a child is about as bad as it gets. Maybe that's part of what got babs so strange. george was 7, jeb a baby and you have to go on but the grief must be unbearable.
