All I could think was "WTF?" Rebuild/restructure the agency from the inside out?

This is undoubtedly in response to learning FEMA gave away money it shouldn't have. But what's wrong with FEMA is DHS and the incompetent bastard squatting in the WH. Get rid of their influence and clean FEMA up a bit -- it does need tidying up -- and all is well.

Why do Repugs apply "drastic measures" to things that aren't worthy of such intervention, while ignoring true crises?

It's just another hair-brained excuse for the Rethugs to make a power grab that will leave us completely at BushCo's mercy during the next disaster. And with their record for excelling at killing innocents without trying, that should scare the hell out of us all.

Disaster planning on a shoestring, with guns and without accountability...That's what Bush** has in mind.
