33. She is an icon in the city
She has a nightclub on the corner of Bourbon and St Louis. She has to be about 300 years old but she dresses up and does an act every night. She's as part of the city now as Pete Fountain and Louis Armstrong. check her out.

http://www.chrisowensclub.com/ One of the campy queens of New Orleans.

Had a great visit. Ate catfish at Landry's near the river. Crawfish was $8.95 a pound. Obviously for tourists, because that's an outrageous price. Strolled the farmer's market, the wife got a "funky butt" necklace, I got a margaritaville switchplate for the garage and we got my mother in law another t-shirt. We also got some Fleur-di-lis coasters. We are going back 21 April for the first day of the french quarter festival then again on 30 April for the Bubba Gump 5k through the quarter. Its a Forest Gump themed restaurant on Decatur and after the race they serve Shrimp Pasta and Salad to all participants and lots of beer (at 9:00 in the morning - Yee-haw) We are adding to the tax base and having fun. I've slowed down to nothing on plants this year. We are in a terrible drought, we need rain bad. And we've had fires damn near wearing out our volunteer fire departments. However, I've babied our snapdragons and they are looking good. Heading for Kansas in May to spend Mothers-Day with my mother in law. Thank goodness we get 33 mpg! Have a great Georgia spring.
