Iran co-operating with IAEA over black market deals

Senior Iranian negotiator Cyrus Nasseri said Iran was cooperating with the IAEA.

Senior Iranian nefotiator Cyrus Nasseri said Wednesday that Iran is cooperating as much as possible with the UN investigation of its nuclear program, particularly in unravelling the workings of the international black market, which supplied it.

Reacting to criticism that Iran has not supplied "sufficient" information on this topic, Nasseri told a media source that Iran was "looking to help the IAEA close that issue."

He said that since the beginning of the agency's investigation in 2003, "Iran has tried to be as cooperative as we could be."

He said a problem in tracing the black market is that "the type of deals that were made do not contain much written reporting."
