The NRA will publish a statement about 'freedom' and 'responsibility' to divorce themselves from those particular nuts while not alienating themselves from the rest of their constituency, and the government will take the incident as an excuse to wiretap Quakers. And peace activists. And all those suspect people on Democratic voting rolls.
