21. WEll, you'd have to have an equivalent property exchange
program. Sane people shouldn't be forced to lose everything just because their states were to be given to lunatics.

However, Florida comes to mind. It's stuck down there all by itself and wouldn't become a transportation obstacle for those of us who have to travel, there's already a huge contingent of the religiously insane there, especially in the Panhandle, and frequent hurricanes might even get them to rethink things. Besides, they'd probably want to move there, sunny Florida and all that.

Of course, the barrier would have to be there but there would have to be exchange programs. As more people here go religiously isane, we could move them there. As some of the nutters see the light, they could be readmitted here after mandatory deprogramming.

Then again, it could all end up like the part of the Douglas Adams novels where the great civilization sent all its useless people (agents, telephone sanitizers) off into space, then was driven into extinction by a virus spread by contaminated telephones.

It's nice to think about, though.
