3. Sorry, but I don't think it's a bad idea
Single women in India, in small villages are at the bottom of the barrel so to speak. They have it rough because of customs that are ingrained in this society. This is a win-win situation for her and the couple. She gets to breathe a little easier because she has money in the bank, and the couple doesn't have to worry about being sued in the future, and maybe having the child taken away from them.

This also puts having a baby in the hands of the middle class, who could afford a trip to India and the $5,000.

With that being said, I wish that the available for adoption children were adopted first, but that ain't going to happen. There is a deep seeded need for a child of your own blood in the majority of people, and many would go childless before adopting.
