255. The idea of a greater global presence for America
is tempting.

The possibility that we could put America in positions to more effectively combat despotism, famine, and plague is very attractive. I understand the vision these men had, but since they have no real grasp for diplomacy and logistics, they will fail utterly to achieve what they envision... all while still convincing themselves they are succeeding.

The PNAC was drawn up by short-sighted megalomaniacal zealots with no scruples. I am against the violations of international law these monsters have committed in the pursuit of this. I am against pre-emptive warfare.

Indeed, in a perfect world the idea that America could have such a presence is a good one. But the fact that such power would be in the hands of greedy despots like Bush and Co. makes it a nightmare.

If America's leadership were truly benevolent, I would support parts of this 'project'. But that is not the case, so I cannot.
