In fact, Cenk routinely bashed Edwards as "phony," stated "I'm just not feeling him," let Wes Clark Jr. wage unlimited & unanswered surrogate attacks on Edwards, and during the 3rd hour of January 14th's show, Cenk read anecdotes by DLC strategist Bob Shrum which accused Edwards of not being merely dishonest and "phony" but actually mentally ill.

As a result of ugly smears against Edwards a week earlier, before Young Turks was discontinued on Air America, I wrote Producer David at the Young Turks and described my discomfort with the zero-substance attacks on Edwards. Fair & constructive criticism is one matter, but Cenk's accusations of "phoniness" were unsubstantiated, non-specific, ambiguous and cheap. As an Edwards volunteer, I was working at cross-purposes by paying for a Young Turks subscription to hear Edwards trashed in cheap-shot smears.

Cenk's attacks were more insidious and disgusting because his non-specific repetition of the "phony" meme was always countered with "But maybe I'm leaning toward Edwards sometimes" -- an outright "plausible deniability" tactic to continue his covert attacks.

I am an opponent of Air America and all of their fake "progressive" DLC-friendly pablum, especially their refusal to broadcast real fighters like Cenk. Unfortunately, with Cenk's duplicitous citing of BOB SHRUM on January 14th -- and against Edwards, no less -- the Young Turks appears to be nothing more than another extremely well-disguised vehicle to provide cover for DLC candidates like Hillary. It's no accident that Wes Clark Jr. is treated with such high regard, and Wes Clark Jr. has nothing but contempt for Edwards (refer to any of his Wednesday or Friday appearances).

I was a Young Turks subscriber for over a year and was Cenk's biggest fan & supporter. For his despicable two-faced treatment of Edwards, I regret ever giving the Young Turks a dime of my money.
