A better translation would be "I will not eat the French Fries." Poor Jacques: He caves on the French Fries and ends up getting talked into marrying to his detriment.

The moral is that once you start "eating the French Fries" (drinking the Kool-Aid, so to speak), you can be made to swallow ANYTHING...

When you look deep enough, even Theatre of the Absurd makes sense in comparison to what happens in our houses of Government!!!
