Sometimes it will sway an undecided, but other times it will cause the voter to develop disdain for the endorser.

Sometimes it makes no difference at all.

I don't think people who have half a brain, and who have actually supported a candidate based on the candidate's platform, will be swayed by an endorsement. Idiots, though, who are simply following the crowd and have no idea how any of the candidates actually feel about the issues, will.
