What's the old saying? "There are old soldiers, and bold soldiers, but there are no old, bold soldiers."

It's still true, isn't it. I learned that when I wasn't EVEN a soldier. But I was with, and among, and as one with, those who were soldiers and had to become one myself even without the benefit of training.
