110. Ignorance of the Law Is No Excuse
... and as the Nuremburg trial established, you cannot use as an excuse that you were merely following orders. I believe they know they will be held accountable merely for being compliant and they are terrified of it. Both of these tenants were used when people were judged as guilty for compliance some put to death for their crimes. Jane Harmon knew some things and did nothing, Diane Feinstein's war profitering husband made billions off her compliance, there are Dems who had a great deal to lose unless they remain silent or compliant. But you have to also remember many of them were openly amd vigorously kept out of the loop of information ~ repigs loudly and boisterously holding closed door meetings no Dems allowed, etc. for a Dem to get ANYTHING done for their districts, they had to compromise in an atmosphere of "my way or the highway."

Still what they knew, when they knew it and what they did with it would be an issue if they were to actually be held accountable and anyone who knows history knows it.

My 2 cents ...
