or to work with him on legislation when possible, but I've always been puzzled by the reports of them having an actual friendly relationship. Bill C even advanced that impression recently.

I can't relate, no matter when it happened. McC was obviously willing to pander to donors by smearing their child for money. My unhappy conclusion is that they have a shared recognition (and exceptence) of being willing to say just about anything in politics.

He must have apologized at some point and maybe HC just has a Mother Theresa-like ability to forgive that isn't otherwise evident, but I still wonder how that works in her relationship with her daughter. Family first and all, you know?
