4. I thought it was pretty dull

John clearly read the book and tried to get the author to talk about stuff in the book. The author seemed very focused on a few bland stories. John tells one great Rove joke that totally knocks the poor guy off course. I felt like John (wanted/understood how) to sell the poor guys book better than the author.
