32. I know this isn't likely to be a very popular comment here, but
as absurd as it may seem to us, is it really anybody's business but theirs?

Yeah, I know they announce it as if it should be, so they invite such comment. But is there a law against what they're doing? Not the last time I looked.

I mean, every kid is a burden on the planet...but this country doesn't tell people how many they can have, or how many they can use as exemptions. And if they did, they'd have to impose those limits on everyone.

And the suggestion that one of the parents be sent to Iraq to get them to stop making babies...tacky.

And if they homeschool and teach their kids in ways we don't like, well, they're the parents so I guess they get to choose how to educate their children, especially if our taxes don't subsidize that teaching.

Obviously, they believe women were put on earth to be baby machines...but they're not forcing anyone else into it. If she wants to spend most of her life pregnant, it's her choice, I guess.

And if people really think these folks should not have this many kids, we need to support a law limiting the number of children ANYONE can have, or write off on taxes. How many should we declare the limit?

Oh, one more question: if these people were African Americans, how many people would have commented here that they were having too many kids, vs. how many would have called such comments racist, and said it was their own damn business how many kids they have, especially if they can afford to support them all?

Just asking.

It's easy to make fun of them, call them gross, ridicule their beliefs, I know. I'm just wondering whether we'd do it so readily if they weren't white fundies. Does everyone in America have the right to have as many kids as they want, except white fundies who insist on going into the double digits because they think women are baby factories?
