I've been here only 6 months and racked up 4,200 posts - that's way too many. I've tried to cut down but unfortunately I have an obsessive-compulsive personality and I spend hours and hours on the computer. This would probably be ok if I weren't married. So the time has come, my wife says, to choose between her and "Computerella". And really, I do have lots of other things to do that I haven't been doing.

So I guess I'll have to join the masses getting my info from the newspaper and tv. Fortunately I do get Air America and Nova-M on the radio in my area.

It's been fun, I'll miss this place and the people here... but as many have said, DU isn't real life.. So I'm going to have to let it go.

I do have one itty-bitty parting request for anyone who cares to entertain it...

3 months ago on February 13, there was a fundraiser here on DU for someone's niece. The timing wasn't good, coming on the heels of several other fundraisers -- not to mention all the donations to candidates -- and it didn't get very much attention. In fact it only had about 50 recs before a last-minute rec drive in the final hour. So if possible, I'd like to ask that anyone who did not see this before, please click on the link below and check it out - she'll be graduating from high school with her class soon, and it would be nice if DU could give a little graduation present to her. (And please rec this thread)
