If he wasn't such a screw up, these antics would certainly give him great appeal with some the younger voters and maybe even a sort of rock star popularity. It would add to his "ordinary guy" persona. I still think most voters would see such behavior as undignified and unpresidential - but we probably wouldn't give a darn if he was otherwise doing a good job.

Heck, look at Bill Clinton's presidency. Now what he did with Monica Lewinsky was terribly undignified - especially since he did it in the Oval Office. That's really pretty shameful. It's only partially to his defense that I don't think we had any business asking him that sort of thing under oath. The whole situation was just tacky. But while most of us may not like it, we still overall liked Clinton because he was so good at being president. So we forgave his sometimes crass behavior because he was effective.
