I know the kind of person he was when he took the position and started shilling for Bush. I'm surrounded by people like him. But I think the weight of the dead body count in Iraq probably reached a tipping point for him. In other words, he is a man with a conscience. We should pay close attention, because, whatever it was that finally convinced him to step up and do what he did, is a process we need to start applying to everyone else who was trapped by the incredibly sadistic and self-destructive Republican philosophy which has dominated our country in the last ten years.
