There is a great diary at Daily Kos, complete with pictures of his visit to Tucson.

A summary from the event transcribed by the diarist.

Dean's comments from the diarist

Started out politics as a County Chair. Just did it for the pay. That’s how you start out in politics and that’s where we are going to return to.

You may wonder why I am in Arizona. I’m only in Arizona for one reason. I only get asked to come to States where Barack Obama can win. (Many whoo hooos from the crowd). Earlier in the week I was in North Dakota. You know, these things weren’t on the list a little while ago but they are now. Part of the 50 State Strategy, and this is one of the things I really like about Barack, is that we hope that Barack will win tomorrow if you do your work we will, because I guarantee that if he wins in Arizona he is going to win the Presidency. But Barrack Obama wants to be the President of all Americans not only the ones who vote for him or agree with him. The thing that is so extraordinary about BO is he wants to put an end to 30 years of divisive anger based politics and bring us all together.

We have a real choice. There are a lot of Arizona who opened up their 401K and saw what happened due to the policies of Bush and Mcain. We can do better.

More from the Tucson visit.

Dean here election eve stumping for Obama

BLAKE MORLOCK Tucson Citizen DNC Chair Howard Dean campaigns for Obama in Tucson on Monday.

"For 30 hours of work, you get four years of Barack Obama in the White House," Dean said at a rally outside Pima County Democratic Party headquarters, 4639 E. First St.

Polls open at 6 a.m. Tuesday and close at 7 p.m. What makes Dean's 11th-hour visit to John McCain's home state more interesting is that polls show Obama within 2 to 5 percentage points of the Republican in the Grand Canyon State.

"I guarantee you, if he wins Arizona, he wins the presidency," Dean said of Obama.

At this point in the campaign, Dean said: "I only go where we have a chance to win."

There is a good video at KVOA News 4 in Tucson.

Ten blocks away at Democrat headquarters, National Chairman Howard Dean addressed Pima County voters to try and help steal Senator McCain's home state.

"I only get asked to come to states where Barack Obama can win," says Dean.

Dean told the crowd that the polls he follows indicate Obama and McCain are "neck and neck" in Arizona. "I guarantee you, if he wins in Arizona, he's going to win the Presidency."

Former Republican turned Democrat Darrin Stafford says he's at the rally to show his support for Obama.

"This is the most important election of my lifetime," he says.

Stafford says he's tired of seeing jobs go overseas, "And I'm going to vote for the labor first candidate Barack Obama."

Dean spoke to the GOTV activists in Tempe, posing for a picture with Harry Mitchell

A last minute visit to Arizona. What an amazing thing to see.
