We do not really need the fairness doctrine again. It's obsolete due to technology anyway (one can stream any talk radio one wishes, or hunt for news on the internet, etc...) so all it will do in galvanize the hardcore right wingers to fight back.

As I said above the best way to combat Faux and Rush and their ilk is to simply ignore them.

If someone ask's Obama a question like, "So Rush Limbaugh said that you support socialism, is that true?"

His response should be "Rush who? Oh.. that Rush, is he out of rehab again yet? Well anyway, back to what i was saying about more important topics..." and just continue with the press conference. Ignore them and they'll make themselves obsolete as they whine harder and harder to get back in the spotlight...
