My point is issues "Like that" are often filled with grey areas.

I'll give you a better example. I am against kindergartners signing pledges to be GLBT allies. This could be construed as an anti-gay stance by some. But it isn't I would be against kindergartners signing a pledge to stop global warming or help a homeless person etc.

It's the pledges themselves for that age group I disagree with not the nature of said pledge.

Prop 8 had no grey area to speak of.
