Organized religion has no place in politics, not in this country. It's i the Constitution. It has
worked well so far. The founders of the country were not religious, as these later day imitators are.
They were Deists and spoke openly of alternative views of religion. Jefferson even wrote his own
version of the New Testament, excluding the inconsistencies, which he thought absurd.

Now the Mormon church has ended it's long ride of indulgence and opened itself up to scrutiny. It was
utterly foolish of them to do this. The move on their part was not only wrong on moral grounds, it
will turn out to be catastrophic for decades to come in terms of public image. They'll no longer
be those 'nice, sincere people who care about family' who come to your door with a strange proposition.
They're not shock troops for the moral majority.

I hope they're happy with their handy work. It's a Pyrrhic victory, no doubt about it.
