There's not a whole lot of difference between ideologues on DU and free republic in terms of their general worldview - radicals for whom ideology comes first, middle, and last, and for whom nothing can ever be divorced from (insert terrible cause of all the evils in the world here), least of all seemingly innocent traditions or festivals. They are merely tools of the (evil opposition) trying to either whitewash "the truth" or destroy our precious way of life, depending on whether you're a lefty or a righty.

Just ignore the loud screeching ideologues. Your life will be easier.
