Message about LGBT folks on DU that I am hearing [View All]

I am not LGBT, but I have been reading threads all day on this Rick Warren controversy, and a lot of what I am seeing is
"Your civil rights are secondary to the great Obama's agenda. "
I know people like to call themselves liberal, but you cannot rah rah rah for civil rights and then disregard a whole group of people just because they disagree with Obama's choices.
I get this even sneakier suspicion, call it a gut instinct, that some people on DU wont admit it, but they are not at all for the civil rights of GLBT people to get married legally in the United States and may even have a problem with it.
I hope I am wrong about that.
Nonetheless, it seems as tho many on DU just want the LGBT community to be quiet, sit down, and wait their turn concerning their civil liberties. Its seems that many do not equate the LGBT's struggle for civil rights in the same category and importance as the struggle for black people's civil rights.
I am hoping this also isnt so.
Tell me I am wrong, and thank you for reading this thread.
