was $55,000. After $55K you paid $0.

How did they fix it? They raised the maximum salary slowly.
They've been doing it ever since.
Now the maximum salary is I think $102K

So those making over $102K only pay upto $102K, then after
$102K pay nothing.

They'll probably continue to increase it until about $200K to $250K.
