1. CORPORATE MEDIA colluded with BushInc to keep the dictatortot protected as it smeared REAL leaders
who stuck their necks out to oppose Bush. They got kicked regularly from ALL SIDES, including the centrist Dem machine.

It took a category 5 hurricane to mount an event the media machine could not spin for BushInc.

Before Katrina, the left voices were RARELY heard - Dem campaigns of 2002 and 2004 were whittled down to meet the needs of a corporate media machine that wanted Bush to stay in office for the favorable rulings their industry expected from Bush and his fascist FCC.

Robert Parry always peels back the curtain:

But the emergence of an imperial presidency did not occur without some resistance. Despite residual fears about another 9/11, many rank-and-file Americans, both liberals and traditional conservatives, grew uneasy over Bush’s power grab. Their voices, however, were rarely heard in the major media, confined mostly to Internet sites and alternative radio outlets.
