Staff of the National Assembly were yesterday compelled to swear to an oath of secrecy by the management of the National Assembly akin to that administered by the presidency to its staff late last year.
The staff, oblivious of the exercise before resuming work Monday were summoned to Hearing Room 2, the venue by the management of the National Assembly through a directive to them via the National Assembly public address system.
Those who took the oath were workers from grade level 7 upward and took the oath which was administered by court officials assisted b. , were made to appear before legal officers from the court, assisted by officials of the legal department of the National Assembly.
