30. I hear you... that's why I pretty much steer clear of CNN and
have formally boycotted FOX (it'll be a year this February). Msnbc has news shows that I find worthwhile and informative (and sometimes entertaining) and for that I'm willing to put up with their little pockets of idiocy here and there too... Morning 'something' comes to mind, for example, I even get a kick (occasionally, let's not get carried away) with Buchanan, but he's primarily frustrating.

NovaM radio can be good, and so can NPR, PBS and C-SPAN. Web news is great, too, but just like cable, you have to weed out the garbage...

I would go nuts if I had to watch CNN... and I would kill my television if I had to watch Fox, which is something I will not do. And you know what? I haven't missed a thing! There is not one shred or moment of their programming that offers something more useful or more detailed or accurate that I cannot find elsewhere. The opposite is true, in fact. They are barely useful, except maybe for weather - but, again - that can be accessed elsewhere.

If you have access to news on the internet, you don't need to put yourself through such torture. : )
