8. Remember Rushbo TV???
In the early 90's, they tried to give Rushbo his own show. It was a disaster. Rushbo would sweat under the lights and couldn't interview guests. The show was a big time dud...didn't last a year. Rushbo learned a lesson...he truly had a face for radio.

I've had the fortune to interview Rushbo...that happened back in 1988. At the time, he was a real nice guy...and he prefered to talk more about baseball than politics, but there was one question I asked him that told me volumes...I asked "is it the role of a talk show host to push forward a political party or agenda"...Rushbo's answer was "of course not...no one person could do that...we're here to entertain". At least he's been consistent.

You'd think with Rushbo's "massive audience", the cables would be falling all over themselves to have him on...and at one time or another I'm sure there have been offers, but Rushbo outside of radio is box office poison. We're starting to see why. His act is a one-man show. He rarely does interviews and then its with "like minds"...as Olbermann showed last night, Rushbo doesn't handle criticism well or works well with others (thus all those divorces). The fact is that when you "buy" Rushbo, you are buying a ticking time bomb (ask MNF)...sooner or later he'll do something or say something that will embarass a network. In radio it doesn't matter, but TV still tries to have a modicum of integrity.

The fun is to see how many repugnicans try to cross Rushbo now that he's "King of the GOOP". Is there anyone in that splintered and inept party that has the juevos to challenge him? Let's hope not.

Cheers...
