'Showing you where' is impossible without assembling a depository of hints, implications, assumptions, and corroborations to expose manipulation (I'm sure somebody is already putting their book on this together), and that's the point.

Did Saddam Hussein master-mind, finance, or in any way support the 9/11 attackers? Of course not and you can't find a quote directly claiming that from any ShrubCo. criminals, yet somehow about 1/6 of us believe that it is so. Few people pay close attention to anything and especially to politics, so slipping this perception into the national consciousness without an explicit statement is not hard at all.
