12. Exactly--it's the perfect fit for them--
they want to cry capitalism, so be it. The Dems can speak to the bottom line of the investor-class American--do you want to be protected from corprocratic highway robbery? Do you think the American people can afford to put "all their eggs in one basket" by relying on "too big to fail" firms? Then follow the Teabaggers--, go forth and pretend Hannity has an extra inch of forehead and that Palin is ready for prime time television, you know. Also. Too. Other wise, you might prefer to read an historical biography of the Founding Fathers and just try not to suck.

I'm for breaking up the "too big to fail" institutions myself not because I'm a spoilsport who hate monopolies (although I am!) but because it's a form of consumer protection--because when "too big to fail" goes down, they stand to take a lot with them.

Also, regarding the issue the 'baggers have regarding the "take-over" or seizure of institutions, such as has long been practiced under the FDIC--what?

It's not too much different in my opinion than when the Health department closes down a filty restaurant--it's in the public interest. A restaurant makes its patrons physically ill, a bank or an investment manager can make their clients financially ill. We wouldn't say that the Health Dept has "taken over" or "owns" a rat-infested Burger King. So why does someone like Michelle Backmann maintain that 51% of the GNP is government controlled? Does she mean "regulated"? Shit, do traffic lights regulate, or own, traffic, inquiring minds want to know!

She's an ass. And so are all too many GOp-ers.
