After BP inaction, Fairhope ( Alabama ) will deploy its own boom.

BP officials promised a month ago to deploy boom in the same areas at its own expense but has not done so, city officials said.

Adding more to the story.
Alabama Gov. Bob Riley reports BP/ Coast Guard have broken promise to make boom
available for Alabama coast!
That means the oil can go to the Mobile River Delta.

And Thad Allen said this:
"He said the number of boats performing skimming operations would increase from 50 to 500 and having Coast Guard skimmers, which were "nonexistent" the last 2½ weeks, patrol the coast and Mobile Bay. "
50 boats for the Gulf?????? 50????? and none of them Coast Guard.!!!

The oil-garchy is doing practically nothing. It is if this is intentional.

Lots more disgusting details here: read about what BP calls its
"Vessels of Opportunity "program .
