Throughout most of our history most American thought it was OK to take Indian children from their families, force them to convert to Christianity, and speak English.

Most Americans used to think Jews, Blacks, Hispanics, Indians, Japanese, Chinese, and most other minorities were lesser human beings.

Most American used to think Gays having sex should be punished with a long jail sentence.

No, we should not do something just because the majority wants it.
