Sung to the tune of "Lodi" by Creedence Clearwater Revival

Well just about 4 years ago, I was sent off to Iraq,
seeking weapons of mass destruction, looking for the motherlode.
Things got bad and things got worse, I'm on my 3rd tour now
Oh Lord, I'm stuck in Iraq again...

I rode in on a HumVee, I'll be lucky to make it back,
Seeing all death and destruction, hope it don't make me crack.
Run from the bombs and bullets, looks like they killed my friend'
Oh Lord, I'm stuck in Iraq again...

The man from the DoD, called up a soldiers mom.
He said "I hate to tell you, your son was just killed by a bomb".
We came over here to spread democracy, looks like the plan fell through.
Oh Lord, I'm stuck in Iraq again...

Now if I only had an answer, to every question "why?"
Why did these soldiers have to die, why did George Bush lie?
I hope I'm on the next plane back to where I live
Oh Lord, I'm stuck in Iraq again
Oh Lord.. stuck in a quagmire again.

Any comments, changes, improvements or criticisms welcome....

PEACE!

Ghost
