But me and my family went through great struggles when lay-offs happened to us a few years ago. My old man actually looked me in the eye and said, rather forcefully.."No one owes you a job. Corporations that get tax-breaks are only doing what's good for business when they get rid of American jobs and hire overseas. That's just good business." Said those words to me, his child, knowing what we went through with joblessness. I say this as an adult, but I truly wish I had different parents. I know that kids say that when going through rebellion, but most grow to appreciate their folks. Not me. I'm at the giving-up point as far as even discussing things with him anymore. And yes...his patron saint is Rush Limbaugh. Nice to have your own parent show such a poisonous attitude towards you. :(
