Do not even bring UP the tax stuff.. Let it "sunset"..

Then in January, start with a tax plan that has "upper-limits" .

Part of the reason why we are where we are, is that congress always tries to "fix" bad legislation, instead of starting over.

Georgie's give-aways have put us IN the trouble we have now, so continuing it in ANY form is bad news..

Republicans loves-them-some-Ronnie Reagan, so why not just adopt HIS tax plan

and while they are at it, slap on a re-importation fee ( don't call it a tax:evilgrin: ) for products "made by American companies" that do more than 25% of their "business" abroad. That would include factories abroad where products are made for re-sale here, or where they maintain a workforce whose job it is, to do accounting or answer service calls for their Americvan customers. That fee should probably be 25%, so they can see that it might really be cheaper & easier to just make the "whatevers" here.

If all congress plans to do, is to capitulate to the newly crowned (but not yet installed) princes & princesses, just start the damned Xmas "vacation" early & go shopping or something. Let the republicans stew in their own juices and try to put together a replacement tax-package...and then just keep saying "NO" when they are in power.

It would all default back to Clinton-era tax rates, and those were not really all that onerous..and in the meantime, we have the pleasure of watching them squirm for a change.

This whole week has been interesting, watching them bloviate about how "the people have spoken" and telling us 24/7 just what the recent election "meant". It;s odd how the election of '08 apparently meant NOTHING, but a midterm which most people sat out, is somehow etched on stone tablets sent down from on high.

What this is all about is this:

They are doing their advance-planning.

The whole "NO" campaign, followed by the "angry villager" routine of '09, followed by the "teabag revolt" of '10 ... It's all about how they plan to steamroll their way into total power in '12.
