...the thought just occurred to me that if he was a pawn in someone's game, with a tidbit like that they could have played him either way. They could have set him up as a terrorist-by-association or an innocent who happened to be a victim of a number of unusual circumstances.

  I...I...guess I have to admit that such a possibility exists. Not specifically for Nick but whether intelligence agencies/organelles/agents would have the intel to be able to carry off manipulations like that. The last time I ever heard of anyone being played like that, actually it wasn't even near what I'm speculating about- but the last time I can recall anything approaching that magnitude was when Cheryl Hanin seduced Israeli whistleblower Mordechai Vanunu and, in the throes of their affair, lured him from London to Rome where the Mossad kidnapped him. That was way back in '86.

  My point has nothing to do with Israel, it's that stuff like that seemingly goes down only in the rarest of circumstances.
