You responded to a poster who attempted to point out the double standard with regard to mutilation of the opposite sex. You, for some unknown reason, seemed to think it was appropriate to respond counter his point by pointing out the inadequate sentences for perpetrators of rape and, by implication, one balances out the other. I was attempting to point out that one has nothing to do with the other and that perpetuating another wrong in response to a wrong is also wrong.
