Car Bomb Explodes at Iraqi Army Checkpoint (US calls it "Progress")
http://www.reuters.com/newsArticle.jhtml?type=worldNews&storyID=7914185

BAQUBA, Iraq (Reuters) - A car bomb exploded at an Iraqi army checkpoint in the town of Baquba northeast of Baghdad on Wednesday and heavy casualties were feared among soldiers, police and witnesses said.

<snip>

U.S. and Iraqi officers say this shows progress in the battle against the insurgency, as guerrillas are finding it harder to attack other targets.

5. They do not go together, in Free Nations
But we live in Imperial Amerika, and virtually the IDENTICAL logic (more smartly, subtly packaged due to advances in PR, propaganda, and psychology) that the Communists used in the Soviet Union works EQUALLY WELL here.

You see, when you consider things from the point of view of Old America, very little makes sense.

But if you can let go the past and consider what Amerika has become and where the logical end of the trend lies ("Farenheit 451" style "fun" Totalitarianism with some Imperial Rome, Nazi Germany, and the Soviet Union thrown in for good measure), then EVERYTHING makes sense.

Given THAT view, "Heavy casualties = Shows Progress" is absolutely consistent, understandable, and as perfect a fit for Imperial Amerika as the spectacle fo Michael Jackson in his pajamas.

4. Yes, it is common knowledge that the more dead soldiers...
the more PROGRESS in the battlefield!

Who cares how "heck of a lot easier" it is where they blew up people? Dead is dead.

Enjoy your abbreviated stay.
