6. Why give these blowviating conservatives ANY platform to spew from ?
Their pious prattle gags me to no end. Bill Moyers always got great guys like Kevin Phillips to debunk the conservatives (Phillips was once 'one of them' during Nixon's reign).

We need more insiders to tell the truth on them.

5. Yes! Now I might consider donating to PBS after all
they do still have that Wall St. Journal editorial board show, though...

Note: you will no longer need a "bow tie" antenna to pick up your local PBS affiliate! :-)

He did bug me. Smug is a good word. He reminded me of one of those dogs in a confirmation ring, self-satisfied, fluffed up, easily can go around in circles. But not there because of brains.

10. What WERE they thinking?
PBS might have chosen to choose an intelligent, articulate person to host a thoughtful show about current events.

But they had some crazy idea that a fuckwad dork was going to help them in reaching out to the Idiot constituency which usually doesn't concern itself with PBS.

Dumbest idea since The New Coke.

PBS should stick to what it (used to do)es best -- intelligent humanistic programming.

Anymore, it blows and blows.

Is Barnes and Noble one of their corporate sponsors these days? Because reading is preferable to watching the crap PBS puts on these days.

12. It was boring
I find myself oddly drawn to some of the more outrageous conservative or fundamentalist TV shows. The onse I watch on a semi-regular basis, no matter how offensive the POV, aren't boring. You can say that much for them. Carlson's show was boring. I mean YAAAAAWN.

14. I didn't donate to PBS this year because
of their phony attempts at so-called balance.....I was upset to see Peter, Paul, and Mary on a fundraiser for them. They tried to bring out the old hippies but they didn't grab me, although I appreciate how much PPM did in the old days.

20. I love Peter Paul and Mary
but I felt that during the fundraiser, the emcee tried to cut them off several times when they were getting political. I felt they were not being treated fairly but paraded out so people of my generation would give money, then we wouldn't see them or people like us again for another year.

Hey, that's Keith Olbermann's hour!

TUCKER OUT AT PBS

THE weekly PBS series "Tucker Carlson: Un filtered" will end its one-year run in June.

The conservative commentator's upcoming nightly series on MSNBC and his relocation to New York made it impossible to continue, officials at Washington's WETA-TV, which produces the series, said yesterday.

"Tucker's series on PBS is smart and stimulating," said Jacoba Atlas, senior vice president of PBS programming. "We will miss having him on our air."

Carlson, whose CNN show, "Crossfire," was canned last year, will host a show on MSNBC targeted for 8 p.m. — Post Wire Services

they would not be renewing Carlson's contract. Don't know what their plans are for the other hosts however, but Carlson was out for sure. They are just running out the clock.

Even better -- put Dan Abrams on after KO. I'm starting to like him.
