I'm not sure if this has already been posted. I noticed it was included in other stories about the "Constitution" of Iraq having difficulties, but don't these soldiers deserve their own recognition.

Had Bush Administration policy not followed such a disastarous course, this would not have happened.

6. Thanks for that link
I did bookmark it. I'm glad to see some responses to this thread, I was beginning to think that even DU was growing tired of the "Dead Soldier Stories." I hope that we never forget those poor guys who are still dying for this illegal invasion.

7. I can't count the number of times that I have typed that I hope
find peace with God. I hope they find peace with God.

Read about each and every one as well as links to local stories.

8. I don't think it is a matter of growing tired of stories of dead soldiers
If that becomes the case we are all lost. I think it is a defensive mechanism used to not have to look at the truth. I think we all do it. Maybe even some of us do it subconsciously?

9. In a way, I think you're right.
But I have noticed a marked decline in responses to the "soldier killed" threads. I'm guilty of it also. I stopped responding because I don't know what to say and the words seem to grow redundant.

10. Sensory overload. Our brains can only assimilate so much horror until
it all becomes a dull pain that we just want to go away. damn shame.

11. The first Ky. National Guard death
We are very sad in Kentucky today; one of the young men killed was a Kentucky National Guardsman. He drowned in Iraq. This was our first death. It is so personal and so near now. I also feel a great anguish for all the Iraqis we have killed and maimed, especially the totally innocent and the babies.
