Prosecutors to challenge 110 voters
If John Kerry did this, they would have crucified him.

April 29, 2005

King County prosecutors will challenge the registrations of 110 more voters they allege are felons who should not be voting.

Yesterday's announcement brings to 648 the number of challenges filed by King County prosecutors, based on lists of voters who appeared to be felons whose civil rights had not been restored. The lists were produced separately by the state Republican Party and The Seattle Times.

A hearing will be scheduled before elections director Dean Logan. Logan has already canceled the registrations of 191 felons and is preparing rulings on 345 others who have undergone hearings.

1. I don't understand this. . .
Even if they prove that all 648 contested voters were illegally registered, how does that impact the electoral vote? How does anyone know for whom the "illegal" voters cast their ballots? They could as well be Republican votes as Democratic, and even if courts invoke the wisdom of Solomon and cut the contested vote total in half, what does that accomplish?

3. They are trying to get a revote.
There is no way to show who voted what so the only thing they have left is to try and get a revote. O yeah, or accept gracefully (obviously not an option.)

6. Ah, of course. Too late to be reading DU -- brain dead. . .
Thanks for what now appears an obvious answer, though moments ago I was incapable of thinking that clearly.

5. It's about the WA state governor race
Rossi, the Repuke, lost after several recounts. Gregoire has been Governor for 100 days now, and the Reich Wing is still filing charges of invalid/illegal votes.

If only Kerry had done the same.

4. They never give up
that's thew difference between Dems and Republicans- Dem's cave and quit- Republicans just keep coming back and eventually they get what they want- no matter how extreme it may have seemed at one time.

Dems somehow think that if they act take a lesson from the Republican playboook that the "public won't like it," or "it won't be popular," or some such thing.

You'll see dozens of such excuses for Dems not standing up or putting up a fight every day here on DU- depsite all of the evidence that this is AND HAS FOR OVER A DECADE been a LOSING STRATEGY that has caused irreperable harm the the cuntry,

8. Send this report and files to USCountVotes.....
Someone needs to send all this evidence to USCountVotes and the attorney prosecutor Landshark who is suing this county, because it could open his case wide open.

In it, fraud is shown to be demonstrated on the electronic machines. If the pushy republicans want fraud to be demonstrated on their end, the knife has to cut both ways, and the fraud Dino Rossi programmed in the voting machines needs to be seen by the whole world.

Who wouldn't agree with that?
