Democrats: Republican Policies Hurt U.S. Homefront
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Democrats charged on Saturday the policies of President Bush and his fellow Republicans in the U.S. Congress were hurting cities, suburbs and rural America.

While seeking billions of dollars to rebuild Iraq, Bush and his Republican allies are leaving the U.S. home front short of funds for such basics as education and health care, Democrats said in their weekly radio address.

``It's time we asked some questions about our priorities,'' Douglas Palmer, mayor of Trenton, New Jersey, and head of the National Conference of Democratic Mayors, said in the address.

``My mom always taught me that you've got to take care of home first,'' Palmer said. ``But the president instead is talking about spending $87 billion in Iraq, including $20 billion to rebuild its infrastructure.''

2. No doubt, now that they have given him what he wants
now they ask the questions! That is bullshit, they should have asked these questions BEFORE they all signed away 20 billion to Halliburton (or more if Shrub can allocate the funds as HE sees fit) This sucks in the biggest way!
