Former CIA contractor says he is scapegoat

(RALEIGH) - The former CIA contractor accused of beating an Afghan detainee who later died says he is a scapegoat or the Bush administration.

David Passaro tells the News and Observer in a jailhouse interview that the government wants to make an example of him.

The 39-year-old former Special Operations soldier is charged with beating detainee Abdul Wali with his hands and feet and a metal flashlight. Wali, who reported about rocket attacks on the American base in a remote area, died later.

1. BushCo Culture of Torture is the real issue
Not one man or one woman at the bottom of the shitheap -- but the Arrogant and Cruel BushCo Elitists at the top.

Bush and the Republicans are responsible for the Culture of Torture.

Bush and the Republicans are responsible for the Culture of Corruption.

2. The Bush administration may suck but that doesn't excuse this man.
If he held someone down and beat them to death with a flashlight, no matter who told him to, he is responsible and deserves to be charged with murder. However, I wouldn't have a problem putting Bush on trial for his part in the torture that is being committed in our names.
