Rove should be fired, spy’s husband says
Bush aide is ‘party to the compromise of national security,’ Wilson

WASHINGTON - Presidential confidant Karl Rove should be fired for his role in the CIA leak, the husband of the agent whose cover was exposed told NBC’s “Today” show on Monday.

“I think the president should fire him... these are firing offenses,” Joe Wilson, a retired career U.S. diplomat, said of Rove.

The two-year-old investigation into who leaked Valerie Plame’s identity last Friday led to the indictment of Vice President Dick Cheney’s chief of staff, Lewis Libby, on obstruction of justice and perjury charges. Libby faces a trial and up to 30 years in prison.

...

Rove is a “party to the compromise of national security of this country,” Wilson alleged. Rove was not indicted Friday but was told that he remains under investigation.

4. In watching this live, Joe Wilson said that Rove shouldn't be given the
chance to step down. He should be fired.

Also, there is a video at the link in the OP. I don't know how long it is, but it's there.

5. Ugh. This must be hard for Rove.
After he spent an entire weekend, celebrating.....

On Friday, Yahoo news showed Rove "elated, obviously overjoyed that he was not indicted".

I'm sure Rove spent the whole weekend on Cloud 9. Now comes Monday morning....

7. you know what I love about this article? The reverse sexism
"spy's husband"?

I've been out of college about 15 years, but was taught to avoid lanugage like this in writing - can you imagine "spy's wife says"?

16. Even if he's only guilty of lying to Bush and McClellan ...
... resulting in them lying to the American people, that is sufficient to justify being fired.

But Bush doesn't have any morals. Oh, he loves to claim he does, but his morals are only for others to follow, not him, not his family, not his sycophants.

He's a crook and liar, and so are all his top people. Bush is a spineless wimp who tries to supplant courage with swagger.
