ARNOLD ACCUSER WANTS MSNBC APOLOGY (Scarborough)
A woman who accused Arnold Schwarzenegger of groping her is now threatening to sue MSNBC and possibly host Joe Scarborough.
Lawyers for Rhonda Miller, a Hollywood stunt double who appeared in at least two of Schwarzenegger's films, have sent MSNBC a legal letter.

"We think an appropriate retraction would be for Scarborough to state uncategorically that any statements that Rhonda Miller was a felon or had a criminal record . . . are false," said Miller's lawyer, Paul Hoffman.

...On the Oct. 6 edition of "Scarborough Country," Kim Serafin, a conservative talk-show host and MSNBC analyst, accused Miller of being convicted of multiple drug and prostitution charges.

The allegations were soon proved to be false after it was learned that a different woman with the same name and lengthy criminal past had been misidentified in a memo leaked to the media.

2. Scarbutt should know all about criminal activity
murder of an intern comes to mind. MSNBC should be boycotted for hiring a murderer.

19. Okay...
A Death in the Congressman's Office
Does Anybody in the Press Care About Lori Klausutis?

<http://www.americanpolitics.com/20010808Klausutis.html>

Excerpt:

"Three Pivotal Questions
by the Editors
September 1, 2001 (APJP) -- Over at The American Prospect's message board thread concerning this very article, Phoenix Woman has asked a trolling Scarborough "defender" three pivotal questions. We'd love to know the answers ourselves:

1) If Lori's death was just a simple accident, then why did Rep. Scarborough and his spokesman Miguel Serrano feel the need to go to two different local TV stations within three hours of her body's being found and invent a nonexistent history of chronic medical conditions for
her -- in other words, why did they feel the need to lie about Lori's health?

2) Would you trust without question the word of a Medical Examiner who lost his ME license in two separate states (Missouri and Florida) because he LIED about his autopsy work (for instance, saying he had autopsied some brains when he hadn't)?

3) Why should whoever wrote Ms. Klausutis's obituary feel it was appropriate to mention nearly everything about her life -- EXCEPT where she'd been working since 1999?"

MY NOTE: Shortly after these incidents took place, hard-right Scarborough held an emotional press conference and announced that he was not seeking reelection. This was also very curious, IMHO.

3. Memo leaked to the press
hmm. Let's see...The campaign knew that she wasn't the person, put it in a memo anyway and leaked it. Voila, Scarbarough had his source.

4. That "cwazy" liberal media at work again
An intern turns up missing and you had nothing to do with it, you get 24/7 coverage and lose you congressional seat. An intern is found DEAD in your office and you get a show on MSNBC.

Who do I need to kill, or what kind of illegal drugs do I need to abuse so that I can get a chance to make millions while spewing forth the Repuke propaganda.

8. This reminds me of the purging of names in Florida in 2000
without even checks to see if there was a mistaken identity.

My understanding is that it was the responsibility of the various polling districts to do the checking. One area checked only when the pollster's name was on it.

She should sue, get some backing from Soros or a big money backer like Scaife funded Paula Fox(I think was her name) and sue MSNBC and that sleazy, steroid use gone wrong, bastare, Arnold.

10. California libel lawyer checking in here
and assuming this Hollywood stunt woman lives in Cal and would file here, this would be a pretty good case. The law requires that a news organization be given a prompt demand to retract, which they then have a short time (month to month and a half) to publish the retraction. If they do retract, then most of the damages go away as against MSNBC and JS. Look for this retraction, because Cal libel laws are excellent for plaintiffs when accused of criminal conduct. If the Schwarzenegger campaign passed the memo, look for them to be sued anyway.

21. The nice thing about this story
if it gets some press, is that it reminds the world of the groping charges. I would hate for them to be forgotten. This could bring it back.
