Cedillo endorses Obama as Dems vie for California's Hispanic vote

LOS ANGELES—A spokeswoman for state Sen. Gil Cedillo says he is endorsing Barack Obama for president.

Cedillo has been one of the state's leading supporters of driver's licenses for undocumented immigrants, introducing legislation nine times to allow the permits.

Obama opponent Hillary Rodham Clinton has said she opposes such licenses.

Cedillo, a Los Angeles Democrat, is expected to officially announce his endorsement Sunday afternoon.

Clearly, especially with things like the move to effectively disenfranchise THOUSANDS of Culinary Workers Union members in Las Vegas, there is a MAJOR contest over Latino voters coming up this and next months.
Indeed, some have noted that this could be behind a lot of the race-baiting and its possibly intimidating implications that have characterized the "Hillary Clinton Crusade" of late.
